Answers to our guests’ questions

1What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is available from 12.30 pm to 11.00 pm. Check-out must be completed by 10.30 am on the scheduled date of departure.
2Can I arrive at the hotel after the check-in time?
Yes, just consult directly with our reception to settle on a different time.
In case of arrival after 5.00 pm, please let us know in advance.
3What time is the reception open?
Our reception is open from 7.30 am to 11.00 pm. At night, the main entrance of the hotel is closed, but don’t worry: our doorman will always let you in.
4Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes! You can surf the web free of charge on our Wi-Fi, available in the hall on the first floor of the hotel.
5Are there any disabled-access rooms?
Unfortunately, our rooms are not equipped to accommodate guests with motor disabilities.
6Are you pet-friendly?
Of course! As long as they’re small your four-legged friends are more than welcome. We don’t even charge any added supplement for them to stay!
7If I arrive by car, where can I park?
Although to reach us you must enter the historical centre of Orvieto, remember that we are outside the ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone). This means that you can bring your car right outside our hotel! The most convenient parking locations are:

  • Piazza Ippolito Scalza, 200 meters from our hotel: free, with obligatory disc from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm;
  • Piazza Marconi, behind the Duomo: with a fee from 8.00 am to 10.00 pm;
  • Piazza Duomo: for a fee;
  • Piazza d'Armi (formerly Caserma Piave): with a fee of €1.00 every 24 hours;
  • Campo della Fiera (formerly Foro Boario), at the entrance to the historic centre, on the Porta Romana side (west of the cliff): with a fee of €1.50 euro per hour, with free elevators and escalators to reach Via Ripa Medici and Piazza Ranieri;
  • Piazza della Pace, behind the train station: always free.
In front of the train station you can find the funicular, which takes you to the historic centre of Orvieto, directly to Piazza Cahen: the ticket for the funicular costs €1.30 each way and includes the shuttle to reach the city centre’s main piazzas. Alternatively, from Piazza d'Armi, the free shuttle to the historic centre leaves every 20 minutes.
You can pay for most of the car parks in Orvieto with the MyCicero app.
8Are there any advantages to booking directly on the site?
Yes, as if you book on this site you will be guaranteed the best online price, and a 5% discount when compared to the rates available elsewhere.
9What are the seasonal opening times of the hotel?
We are open from Easter Thursday to 2 November. These days can vary from year to year.
10What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay for your stay in cash, or with Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, CartaSì/Nexi, UnionPay and with PayPal.
11How many days in advance can I cancel my reservation without any penalties?
You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to 1 day before arrival. No upfront payment is required.
12What happens if I cancel my booking after the deadline?
If you cancel within 24 hours prior to arrival, you will be charged the total amount equivalent to the first night of your stay.

    Great people, great location, would love to think we will be back.

    The staff were wonderful and the breakfast yummy - even though we were late for breakfast they still made sure we could eat and didn’t rush us at all. The location is outstanding, only a block away from the Duomo. Fussfree luggage storage after check out.

    Lovely my stay in Orvieto and Hotel Posta

    The staff were all very nice and helpful. There is a little supermarket across the street. We had a room facing the garden so it was quiet sleeping. We could walk to shops, restaurants and sights snd buses to other sights were within walking distance.

    The hotel was easy to get to, close to everything, very pleasant, had nice decor and felt like home. The staff was so kind and sweet. Breakfast was full of choices (loved the breakfast room/patio), various fruit juices, great coffee...the service was superb!
